i miss twisty straws

don’t you, too? iba-iba pa yung kulay tapos iba-iba din yung ikot ng inumin mo. it makes something so mundane very exciting. would you stare at your softdrink as it rises up your striped straw? or how about your frappuccino? you can’t actually. opaque yung straws ng mga coffee shop dito eh. wouldn’t that be fun? hehe…

wala lang. mukhang nagse-second childhood ako. looking at the simple joys i can find… yung feeling ng awe and wonder and you just look at liquid going around twisty straws make you go “oooh!” as if it was the strangest and coolest thing on the planet.

how i wish masamang tao na lang muna ako ngayon. yung tipong walang kunsensiya? walang moralidad. walang iniisip na Diyos na magbibigay kaparusahan sa mga kagagawan kong mali. ang hindi mag-isip paano huhusgahan ng tao ang mga ginagawa ko. gusto kong maging suwail. gusto kong maging mapusok at matapang. i want to live the dangerous life.

this morning, i woke up and had the hiccups. it has been over a year, i guess, since i last experienced having the hiccups. my tried and tested technique since childhood was to drink 5-7 gulps of water while holding my breath. unfortunately, this didn’t work this morning. i finished almost 2 glasses of water and… nothing! it was still there!

i tried to adjust my breathing by a little jogging-in-place inside the bathroom before taking my bath(dangerous i know but i was desperate! DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!). i only got sweaty and the hiccups continued. this was getting really uncomfortable.

some say that it would disappear by itself. you just had to wait it out. i wasn’t willing to do that, though. perhaps food would appease the involuntary contraction, i guessed as i was getting dressed. as i left the room, i said to myself, “let’s try that again,” and drank 10 gulps without inhaling. i was out of breath naturally and waited… 10… 9… 8… 7… 6… *hiccup~!*

failing yet once again, i was already thinking how i’d look like inside the jeep on my way to work — my fat jiggling with every hiccup. so i locked the door behind me, started for the road to the IKOT terminal and realized something. my hiccups were gone! 😀

hindi niyo na naitatanong, naka-Windows 7 RC ako sa opisina. at ngayon ay nag-expire na ang ‘trial period’ ng nasabing OS. ang ginagawa ngayon ng Windows 7 ay kusa siyang magre-restart na may 2 oras ang pagitan. ang isang nadiskubre kong solusyon para di mangyari ito ay i-atras ang petsa ng aking computer. ngayon, Enero 18 ang nasa computer ko at hindi na siya nagre-restart mag-isa. subalit, ngunit, datapwat ang kaakibat na resulta ng ganitong gawain ay ang hindi pag-update ng RSS feeds ng aking browser. bukod pa dito ay nagkakaroon ng problema sa security certificates sa ibang websites.

sa ngayon ay hinihintay ko pang mabilhan ako ng totoong Windows 7 ng aming opisina. kaya sa ngayon, panaka-nakang pagbisita lang ang nagagawa ko at hindi ako (ika nga nila) “updated sa latest showbiz happenings” ng inyong blogs at websites.

walang Superman sa Pilipinas

kaka-kain ko lang ng almusal kanina sa kanto malapit sa terminal ng mga jeep. and then nung sumakay nako, pangatlo palang siguro ako sa mga pasahero. waluhan daw yung sasakyan kahit na 2 kaming medyo “healthy” tapos eh halata namang pituhan lang talaga siya. buti na lang eh umalis na si manong kahit anim lang kami nakasakay.

napansin ko lang yung t-shirt nung isang manong na kasakay ko. medyo itim, payat, at hindi siya cute. (lol) tapos suot niya was a gray shirt na may print ng red telephone booths na nakatumba parang dominos. i got the impression that it was part of an exhibition or installation art. bigla ko lang naisip si Superman.

forgive me for laughing and pointing at Steve Jobs for this… but i can’t help it. ano daw yung tawag nila sa bagong product ng Apple? iPad???

sige na, sige… nobody’s perfect. ako din, i make spelling errors very often. minsan nga yung THEIR and THEY’RE napag-papalit ko pa ng gamit eh. pero i just couldn’t help it…

was on my way to meet A in Boni so from Katipunan, i take the LRT going to Cubao then take the MRT from there to Boni station. and i usually pass by some tech shops along the way inside Farmer’s cubao. syempre, kaka-silip, kaka-window shopping, nakita ko to. and i knew i had to share it.
