there was “babadapbadap”
and it’s by Gary Granada!
well, the songs are very different in their messages. babadapbadap is a humorous political commentary of sorts in a song. the other one is that of romantic love. still, both songs are quite enjoyable to listen to.
and here’s my favorite choir rendition of the song!
some more ‘rigid’ religious people might be offended but i just enjoyed this one…
hep, wag muna sabayan si Tootsie Guevara at pakinggan mo kuwento ko. jowk! 😛
k fine. sige na, kakantahin mo naman kahit sabihin kong huwag. LOL!
anyway, medyo kabado lang kaninang umaga. A had to get to work by 6AM. woke up at 430 to get baon ready. di puwede ang medyo komplikadong ulam kaya corned beef lang ang kinaya.
medyo late nagising yung ihahatid ko kaya medyo nag-aalangan na ako. at kinakabahan… bakit? dahil coding ang sasakyan. LOL!
medyo hindi naman photo-finish yung pagkahatid ko kay A or pagdating ko sa opisina (late siya ng 7 mins, maaga ako ng 10 mins), pero andaming pumapasok sa utak ko habang nagmamaneho: paano kung may aksidente? trapik yun. tapos masa-stuck ako along EDSA. what if mag-C5 na lang ako? eh paano kukng doon naman yung aksidente?
i had that thing in my mind since an ominous accident occurred at Makati cor. Ayala Ave. just before we passed it. malas nila. good thing i was on the right lane (figuratively and literally speaking).
all is well that ends well na ba after i got to work? well, maybe… kaso ang kalaban ko naman ngayon ay antok… and dahil coding nga, 8pm pa ako makaka-labas ng opisina mamaya. awuuhuuu…
Juice Colored, sa tanda kong ito, nakikinig pa ako sa YouTube ng mga kanta ng Moana! Ewan ko kelan ako magsasawa… and mukhang nahawa lang ako sa anak ko. heheh…
Just watched Moana yesterday and last night again, to get my son to sit still. We were at the part where Moana discovers (semi-SPOILER ALERT!) her voyager heritage and this song, “We Know The Way” starts playing and he’d start singing along. We kinda had it on repeat for some time and I found myself singing to it in the shower! Haha…
Tapos, there were things about navigating using stars. I’m a sort of amateur astronomer too so I was curious if the sky and the stars were actual stars or constellations. A little google and I found this article from the Conversation. Ang galing lang at nakakatuwa! 🙂 Maui’s fish hook in the movie is actually Scorpio! Cool!!!
I wondered if our local balangay knew the same thing. I bet they did. I wonder how they were if and when balangays met the polynesian voyagers at sea! amazeballs…
Kung gusto niyo ma-LSS, play niyo yung nasa baba. Di ko gaano feel yung sa bida although catchy pa din yung “You’re Welcome!” ni ‘The Rock’. LOL! and that trippy song “Shiny” nung crab! hehe
i’m not sure but i have this thing about breakup anthems and songs that aren’t sappy — yung tipong imbes na magbabad sa lungkot, ang reaction mo is, “akala mo kung sino ka!?”
heard this on the way to work this morning and i knew i had another one for my playlist: it’s Little Mix’s “Shout Out to My Ex”.
some other songs i’ve loved are by Hepburn, Blaque, and Fiona Apple and they pretty much were my anthems for a long time… in high school and college. pero wala naman ako naging ex. hahaha! feel good lang kasi specially after being turned down. ang saya lang.
of course, i like wallowing in pity din minsan. i love RXTMR’s valentine’s special that are just “saksak-puso, tulo ang dugo” kind of songs. the songs that cut really REALLY deep.
any songs you like recently?
Akalain mo yun? 6 podcast episodes in 1 year! 😛 hahahaha
then again, i’ve encountered technical difficulties because Windows. 😦 still, i get to share my thoughts this way to everyone and anyone willing to listen. 🙂
so here’s to another 6 episodes or more! 🙂
i must’ve been one of the bargain hunters on lazada that day. so remember the thing that i bought online the other day? here it is:
i’ve heard a lot about sennheisers in the past which made me trust the brand. i so wanted these headphones way back that i asked around already for their price in shops and music stores as well as online sellers. though technically good for the price, i still wasn’t willing to shell out over Php 1,000.00 for a pair of listening devices yet. i stuck with my Philips earphones that just cost me around Php 350.00 and was pretty happy with the sound they produced.
no, i’m not an audiophile but there are just some things you like to listen to and you just want something better than the default “headsets” that came bundled with your phone right? sometimes, you actually get good quality headsets but more often than not, it’s cheap and crappy-sounding.
when i saw the huge discount on lazada, i still debated with myself whether i should buy or not. they are now an old product. they are probably old stocks and maybe Sennheiser was releasing newer models by the end of the year. but ultimately, it was the price that convinced me. even if they are old, they still must sound good anyway. which makes me a happy music enthusiast.
it may sound dirty but there are differences between ‘oral’ and ‘aural’ pleasures.
but did i use it correctly in a sentence? ewan ko! malay ko ba! hahaha!
NGUNIT, SUBALIT, DATAPWAT… ito talaga ang dahilan ng post na ‘to:
may kakaiba lang akong naramdaman nang sinimulan kong pakinggan ito. actually i was surprised to see that this opera lasted 4 hours. kakayanin ko ba? samantalang madami ang na-inip sa latest Transformers movie na buti na lang ay di ko pinanood. i think listening to this piece of work is worth the time… it may be playing in the background while i
don’t work but it has a positive effect on me, somehow. dahil German yata ang piyesang ito, o kahit na Italian pa o ibang lengwahe, di ko naiintindihan ang mga pinagkaka-kanta nila. yet, there are parts of my brain that are stimulated and my ears are just happily listening while my heart also wrenches and feelings ebb and rise.
kakaiba, mehn… ibang klase ang amats nito! try mo!
