off to my-sg!

less than a week from now, pupunta kami ng college barkada for a 6-day vacay sa kuala lumpur and singapore! woot! 😀

*pout lips*”). i’m not that kind of traveler kasi. i prefer to “experience” than just sight-see. oo nga, madami kang pictures ng mga lugar pero parang ganun na lang — dinaanan mo lang. or baka sadyang mabagal lang ako maka-pick-up ng sights and sounds ng isang lugar. i guess yung ibang tao eh madaan lang ng minsan ay na-a-appreciate na nila agad yung mga nakikita nila. ako kasi, i think kailangan ko ulit-ulitin. i’m slightly afraid that i missed some little quirky detail, some trivia, some tidbit na posibleng ako lang ang nakaka-alam or nakakita doon sa lugar na yun.

ikaw, how are you as a traveler?

tsaka pala any tips what to see sa KL and SG? although may “schedule” na kaming susundan, i just wanna know ano kailangan mas paglaanan ng attention. 🙂 should i activate roaming or just leave my phone sa pinas? shorts and shirt o maong? (yung hindi sana ako magmumukhang turista) and yung bag… mas ideal ata backpack ano? though may transient house kami. i think need namin yung small bag to carry around while touring, tama? andami kong tanong! haha!

  1. Have fun on your vacation! Sana matuloy din kami next year sa Singapore. Isa sa balak namin puntahan ang Universal Studios.

hey, hope you make it din! ito kasi medyo napasubo na lang din talaga. 🙂 hope we survive. haha! USS nga din isang puntahan namin. though i think puro rides ito, tama? di ko pa naman gaano trip yung ganun. still, i guess masaya pa din ma-experience siya at makapag-pa-picture with the movie characters na andun! 🙂

  2. i have a few traveling tips I wrote before:
    http://awifescharmedlife.blogspot.com/2007/07/travelling-tips.html

    hope it helps.

as a traveler, i really study the place i will be exploring beforehand. traveling for me is about learning. so when i read about the place before i go there, feeling ko dun na nagsisimula ang pag-learn ko about the place. thru reading, i also get to trim down the places i want to see. kasi when i travel, i make sure i have time to rest and not be in a hurry. katulad nga ng sabi mo, mas gusto mo ay nai-experience talaga ang travel mo at hindi lang basta may picture ka dun. kami ni Husband, we plan our travel well based on how long our vaycay is, how much our budget is, and again, there must be time to rest. when we plan our trip, we also make sure that our schedule is flexible. when we travelled in Seoul, there was one place we didn’t get to see but was part of our itinerary. wala lang, we felt a bit tired already because it was our last day plus we wanted to hang out somewhere else.

    my SG recos:
Lau Pa Sat – for a great foodie experience
Chinatown – to their old, colourful buildings
Marina Bay Sands – the newest touristy place there
Universal Studios – newest theme park

  3. i have an additional traveling tip for you (one i always forget to mention): my husband and i exercise a lot prior to travel. since we know that traveling requires a lot of walking and carrying (heavy) luggage, we add more time jogging/briskwalking, working out and lifting light weights to build stamina and a stronger body for travel.

OMG! that post was SO~ helpful, ibyang! parang kailangan yata matagal na ako nagpre-prepare for this trip! haha! need time to read up on KL and SG and the destinations din tuloy. para nga pwedeng magkaroon ng ‘alternatives’ just in case mapagod or ayaw namin dun sa isa sa mga nasa itinerary namen. mahanap nga ang lau pa sat. 😀 thanks ulit sa helpful post! 🙂

  4. never been to sg but i am scheduled to be theer on Nov. Kaya abangan ko post mo about sg ha.

    Tips…
I suggest you buy a universal adoptor. Since I travel a lot because of work, I decided to have one and its very useful 🙂

Pack light kasi pag uwi mo baka heavy na yan luggage mo dahil sa pinamili mo.

Dont forget to do online check-in a day or 2 before your flight. less hassle ang pagpili. (If your travelling cebpac…48hrs pwede na kayo mag online check-in)

Bring extra batter and sd card. Mahirap na ma lowbat at maubusan ng memory.

When you are there, enjoy lang, take lots of photos and memories. 🙂

  5. I guess I’m too late! I wish I read this earlier (hay, ngayon lang uli naka pag bloghop). I’m not the kind of traveler na “kelangan madaming mapuntahan”. It’s the quality. I also try to travel light kahit pa nga ang dami daming kaartehan ng mga babae (hehehehe). If there’s a will, there’s a way. I hope you had fun. The company matters a lot, of course!
