lovely, lovely morning, Manila! *cough, cough*

sabi nga ni Bro. Bo, “where else in the world must you trust in God each time you breathe?” (or some other words to that effect). only in Manila!

and one morning while on my way to the office, i couldn’t help but notice the clear division between clean and polluted air in Quezon City. and the week before, Doc James had just discussed how pollution is ‘contained’ because of the stability or instability of the air’s layers. it was just really cool (and disgusting at the same time) to see this.

i went to our office’s rooftop to snap some more pictures. and behind me was Marikina. and it only reinforced my stand that no matter how cheap the houses and lots will be in that city, i will never ever buy and live in Marikina. it’s just an absolute Jackpot winner in all disasters…

*imagine something from a Manny Villar commercial*

“Malapit ba ang Marikina sa fault line?” …CHECK!
“Madali ba bahain ang Marikina?” …CHECK!
and now, “Madumi ba ang hangin sa Marikina”

…CHECK!!!

yep, Marikina is somwhere under all that haze…

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!

  1. Grabe, kitang kita yung dark portion. Nice capture! Especially when the plane was approaching. Kitang kita yung polluted areas.

  2. oo nga no? kitang kita talaga. sayang talaga ang manila. we still have blue skies there but but but…hay ang daming “but..”

hay, totoo… although if you think about the other metros around (in China, US, India) halos same case. pero sana makagawa tayo ng solusyon sa Manila. it’s really worth saving diba? hay…

  3. Oh my. That IS really bad. I live in MNL. To think that I am breathing the bad air eversince I can remember gives me the chills. My poor poor lungs.

i know… sana lang lalong maging aware yung mga tao. i hope nakatulong din camping nila Yohan para maging aware sila sa environmental issues. i started as some sort of environmentalist when i was part of the Scouting movement in grade school.
